Reactions in and at Solids
The research group focusing on reactions in and at solids deals with thermodynam-ic and kinetic studies of diffusion-controlled microstructural processes during the processing and use of engineering materials. This typically involves the investigation of recrystallization, precipitation from supersaturated solid solutions, the coarsening of particles at high temperatures or reactions between solids and melts.
